The good news is Velociraptors aren't as large as the ones in "Jurassic Park."

The bad news is my house looks almost like that one.

Love this. I do the exact same thing for vampires and zombies. I'm pretty well defended against vampires with a stream and lots of roses in the yard but zombies could just walk right through my big windows and thin walls, man!

OK, I have to ask, why the roses for Vampires? I have never heard this and I love that kind of stuff. Of course it would explain some images I've seen....

Best,

Brett

My memory's a little fuzzy but I remember they were used as vampire bane in the original Dracula and in more modern times they can be seen used offensively against an undead adversary in no less a horror movie classic than Fright Night 2.

Wikipedia has roses listed as an apotropaic (item able to ward off revenants) along with garlic and holy water.

I bet it has something to do with the power of love, of which roses are a symbol.

Ah, love, is there anything it can't do?

Ah, I've only seen FN2 once all the way through. Now the first one I can quote lines from and I had the soundtrack! The only thing I remember about the second one is the mist being really cool.

I remember in Coppola's Dracula that the roses wilted and died (taint of corruption) when Dracula walked past them.

Love can't fix my car, teflon tape did that;)

Best,

Brett

Those taints of corruption are never pretty.

LOL! Some taints are nicer than others;)
