Expelled Exposed

Expelled Exposed

Is a website put together by actual scientists basically giving you facts about all the lies this film is trying to propagate. This movie keeps getting panned by everyone. So I wouldn't waste your time or your $10.

Best,

Brett

edit: here is an excellent review;)

  2. Well, you'll need to be specific, what kind of commission? Was it a specific character? We didn't have regular internet back then so that info was lost. There was a DareDevil I was supposed to do but I couldn't find any information about it when I went to do it. Nothing on paypal or my old email address. I also did a Rogue that was never fully paid for.

    Best,

    Brett

  5. You get the agenda of this "Exposed"website when their front page features a video about Christine Comer. They aren't interested in science, they are out to paint those critical of Evolution as Religious zealots. If Chris Comers was critical of creationism she should have been repramanded for trying to use her scientific background to comment on a religous matter she is unqualified to discuss. I don't know the details of her case, but it definately does not sound like she should have been let go. In fact most IDists have sided with Comers on her wrongful dismissal if in fact she was let go for only mentioning a meeting by a venomous atheist anti-ID organization in a forwarded email.

Shame on Exposed for misusing her plight for their own agenda. You can't attack a view by showing a misleading view that your proponents don't even support.

I'm convinced the problem with the whole Evolution/ID debate is one of baseball. When you go to a baseball game you don't go in with an open mind willing to support which ever team plays the best. You go in with anything but a neutral view, willing to cheer for your home team no matter how well or poorly they play. No one ever complains when a ref makes a bad call which favors their team, it is part of the game. To further compare the argument to the dirt diamond, fans of baseball have favorite players just as Idists and Evolutionist support scientists who share their own world views. Be it Dawkins or Dembski we tend to support the side which best aligns with our own belief system. We've grown up reading their theses (plural of thesis)and books.

This is why so much of what anti-IDists comment on are misguided attacks on religion, they aren't defending a scientific viewpoint, they are supporting their views on religion. Don't believe me-reread any IDist evolution argument and see which side brings up God. It is almost always the Evolutionists. Surprised? You shouldn't be if you understand they are just fans supporting their home team.

Remember to always read both sides of the debate and be clear minded enough to recognize neither side is impartial. They are trying to influence your opinion.

Yes the National Council for Science Education is trying to show you the lies of Expelled. If you are teaching Creationism at a regular college and it's supposed to be biology or evolution as a parent I WOULD BE PISSED. In fact I would demand she be fired and my money pack. If she wants to teach creationism in a science class she can go to a bible college. That's what they do.

'Shame on Exposed for misusing her plight for their own agenda. You can't attack a view by showing a misleading view that your proponents don't even support.'

The fact that these Expelled people keep lying doesn't seem to bother you. But I guess lying for the cause is OK, Jesus would want that.

Do you understand that YOUR view used to be the standard in early science. As we learned more your view didn't match up with the evidence. So new ideas needed to be found to explain these new finds. Guess what Evolution did explain it. It wasn't correct right of the bat it's been refined and corrected to reflect the evidence. If someone DID prove the existence of God don't you think that eventually it would be hailed as the greatest find of all time? Funny but that has yet to happen. In science, you go were the evidence leads you not were you WANT it to go. The evidence points to evolution.

Steve, your ID people have stated that their Designer is the Christian GOD. It IS religion, the Dover Trial proved this, the judge who was chosen by Bush agreed with the scientist. It is against the law to teach creationism as science.

'Remember to always read both sides of the debate and be clear minded enough to recognize neither side is impartial. They are trying to influence your opinion.'

Yes there are, in this case one with evidence and one without. Your welcome to believe what you want but stop lying for these people. They might be getting sued by Yoko Ono for the use of the song 'Image' in the movie. They didn't ask to use it they just did. They are being sued for plagerism, they have lied to the participants of their own movie and refused to let them see it! Do you not see this?

  7. Brett,

I think your confused. Miss Comers was not a Christian or a Creationist, she was an evolutionist who forwarded information about a meeting critical on Intelligent Design. Her case is the opposite of what Expelled is about, so the NCSE is trying to say that it isn't the case that Scientists are fired if they are critical of Darwin, but in fact that Evolutionists are fired if they are critical of the ID theory. This is preposterous. The current academic community is not more friendly toward IDists and they do not fire those critical of ID on a regular basis. It is just a ploy of the NCSE which is bizarre, why not stick to the point of discussion, why the off topic story as the center piece of your website? It doesn't make IDists look back it makes the NCSE look silly for insisting it has some or relevance to the matter.

  8. Ah I was confusing her with the woman on Expelled. And I am familiar with it and yes she was asked to resign for forwarding an email about a Barbara Forrest talk. That's all she did.

Texas and Florida have been trying to get ID/Creationism in schools.

    Check it out:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christine_Comer

The current COLLEGE education system is criticle of ID NOT the regular public school system which has been trying to get ID/Creationism taught for years. That's what that whole Dover trial was about. The whole point of this story is to show you how far the creationist have gotten in the public school system the goal of the NCSE is to keep creationism out of schools and stick the science.
