What the hell does this mean?

From God is 4 Suckers comes this confusing and frankly kind of threatening video from Answers in Genesis, a Christian organization:

Now, God is 4 Suckers is pretty hit or miss with me. I'm a moderate type of person and a lot of their posts are pretty...extreme. But I have no clue what this video is trying to say. Christians should shoot people who don't have god? If you don't have god you'll run around shooting people? Because I am an atheist, and I own a gun, and I don't run around shooting people. None of the atheists I know do. Brett has never even fired a gun, and I don't think he's even touched the one we own. I've never been shot at by a Christian, either. Is it a warning? A call to arms?

Disturbing.

  1. Creepy, isn't it? Especially since it's a kid with a handgun.

  3. Christopher,

Normally I'd be laughing my ass off at that. But after the last week your comment has a bit more bite to it.

I th ink this has to do with the Without God there would be no morals, which is completely false since other religions don't go around killing everyone at the drop of a hat. And even communists have laws against murder. But you know them fundies, always going for shock value;)

  4. Wow, what the hell...? Wonder who pulled that idea out of their ass. Certainly doesn't portray the love of God. If they're trying to make a point that sure isn't a good way of making it... I've never heard of this organization before, sounds pretty messed up.

  5. Hi Miranda,

Answers in Genesis is a creationist 'think' tank... Basically they interpret the bible literally and then look for evidence to support their position, they believe the Earth is 6000 years old and all that.

This is basically a scare tactic ment to frighten people. They believe all morals come from God and if there is no God then there would be no morals... Which doesn't really make sense since there are lots of places without the Judeo-Christian religion that had/have laws and morals.

  6. Ahhh... I see. Even without these so called "Biblical" morals there would still be commonsense. Although I believe some people lack even that.
