More Holiday Merriment!
DC's blog The Source has a 4 page preview of that Larfleeze Christmas Special I finished last month! Check it out for more art. I'd post it here but Blogger won't let me upload much of anything. Grrrr.
Years ago there was a recipe for "Aunt May's Wheat Cakes" in an issue of Spider-Man. I always regretted that I never tried to make them. I won't make that mistake again!
Got the special yesterday and read it. Liked the final thing on the list and it made me start to do some more digging into the Green Lantern universe since I have only recently started to pick up the comics.
Can't wit to pick this up. Newsarama has an article up about Robinson's run on JLA. You are named as the new artist. Lots of good comments for a change, are the trolls all gone back to their caves for the holidays?
You most likely know more about the lantern universe than I do by now. I do want to see hoe the issue turned out, I actually wrote a bunch of stuff on those lists and I'm curious what they left in:)
Steve,
I'm just the regular for this arc, I'm not sure what's going to happen afterward. I think the trolls prefer to go after James, and after reading a bunch of message boards, I think it would be easier to appease the GL fans than the JLA fans. I tried to post some links to the Flash images I have but it won't let me log in, I reset the password 3 times and still nothing, I even tried to make a new account. Grrr.
Nice work on the Larfleeze Christmas Special. I really enjoyed it! Been following your work since your Wildcore days. Used to IM with you back and forth a while ago.
Just so you know we did the majority of the book in like 10 days. So some of it might have been a bit rushed. I haven't seen a copy yet (they arrived at my UPS box yesterday but there was NO way I was going into town the day before Christmas, it was near insanity on Wednesday when I went! But Andrew says it printed good and the colors are pretty much exactly like his files:)
Oh. and a fun fact that they left in I was getting the car worked on when I drew some if it so Larfleeze's list was partially mine, especially the brake job;)
Brett, Where do you sell the original art for this comic? I have a friend interested in the original art to the published pg-1 splash page. Do you sell your original art pages yourself, or have a rep, or...? thanks, Jon
Hi Brett, Can you perhaps put me in contact with the buyer of it (if it was sold as a whole)? My friend is looking to buy the splash page from the current owner/dealer/collector. You did a fantastic job on it by the way... thanks! Jon
just picked it up, loved the final thing on his list. very touching...is the recipe real? my wife wanted to know.
ReplyDeleteMany Seasons Greetings guys.

Nestor,
ReplyDeleteI don't actually know. I'll ask if you like:)
CBL,
Thanks, but if you do decide to make them, have someone else try them first;)
Best,
Brett
I have read that the recipe is real and that the cookies are very tasty:)
ReplyDeleteBest,
