Well not about my next project... yet. Sooon. I actually just finished issue one last night. Anywho, it is fun to read all the speculation
like here! I know for a fact some of that isn't true;) Let the speculation begin and Steve and Derek, you can't play;)
Best!
Brett
"Teen Titans #1 - The new start for the teen team will be written by "Red Robin" scribe Fabian Nicieza."
ReplyDelete-That is Awesome news, Titans has flounderd for quite some time. I hope both books are rolled into one and we have many generations.
Green Lantern #1 - Even with a new #1, Green Lantern remains in Johns' hands, and readers can expect the effects of major crossovers like "Blackest Night" to stay in place moving forward.
-This is too bad, letting one (or six) creators control your entire line is crap.
My one hope is that Dick Grayson is no longer Batman. He probably won't be Nightwing (although that would be my preference) but I hope they put him in a role that has the same potential for the types of stories they were telling about him before he took on the cape and cowl.
I love Jim Lee's art, all the redesigns so far have been pretty good. Even Wonder Woman is growing on me. But that Cyborg design? Robocop combined with a football player's pads? Uhm...no. I can't imagine trying to draw that design consistently.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Brett's announcement and some artwork. I had two titles in mind I would have loved to seen Brett draw, he got one of them.
I'm kind of meh on the whole event. To me, Flashpoint is another infinite crisis that will be ret-conned within 10 years. :P I'll go along for the ride, but I fear I won't be as emotionally invested. In related news (and possibly rumor-mongering) bleeding-cool is stating that a new title to show up at DC will be a "Lantern Corps" book that will center around a team of lanterns, one from each corps, including the Black Lanterns. If it's true, kind of excited.
ReplyDeletewhen you said you just finished issue one did you mean you read Justice League #1 or were you drawing something that also has a #1 on the cover?
ReplyDeleteLet's see...
ReplyDeleteCaine,
Fabian is NOT doing TT. He announced that on the DC boards.
I honestly don't know who's writing GL. Geoff has said he can only do 3 books a month, so with JL and Aquaman... he does have room for a third...
Bleeding cool mentioned Barbara Gordan back as Batgirl and a new Nightwing, but I can't confirm that since I'm not sure. They are keeping us in the dark a bit. I know what James Robinson is doing and a few others... but mums the word on most of it. I did do an Alt cover for one of the other Sept. books.
Steve,
Soon. They are going to be giving out info over the next 10 days... You're not the only on who wants to know who's doing what!
Cryostar,
I can say I'm not drawing that book;)
Anthony,
I finished the pencils for the first issue of my book. And since they are all getting a #1, then yes it has a #1 on the cover;)
Best,
Brett
Fabs already denied being on Titans.
ReplyDeleteIn such a FANTASTIC pic, I find it quite 'shocking' that Wonder Woman is so badly-proportioned
ReplyDelete8-O
(arms too big by comparison with the body, and head too big even by comparison with the arms... like a strange child... gasp)
dhr
Everything about that pic looks wrong. For example, Flash's right arm, even tho we only see the shoulder, is too big, Wonder Woman and Superman look far too much like teenagers.
ReplyDeleteAnd the placement of the cannon on Hal...well, that's just plain wrong.
Ugh. Did Jim Lee really draw it, or was it an assistant?
Scott Lobdell has been announced as the writer on TEEN TTTANS.
