Kid Flash..es?
I have to draw BART in his 'final' costume this week for the #6 cover. So I did up a quick sketch to jog my memory a bit. It's been months since I drew it before;)
Helloooooo new desktop background. Coming to your blog to see potential new art is one of the highlights of my day now. As always sir, keep up the great work.
I think the problem with the skull cap is that he'd then have the same silhouette as the Flash. To me the shape, size and figure of a super-hero or villain are just as important as the rest of the design.
It's one of the reasons I love Steve Ditko's Spider-Man run so much. Vulture, Doc Ock, Sandman, Mysterio, the Lizard, Green Goblin, Electro etc are all instantly recognisable from silhouette alone. Even Spidey had the long underarm webbing back then!
Just curious...This costume (the face mask, more specifically) is different from the original design on the cover of TT #1 and the promo image. Is this the one that will be used?

I like the first one the most.
Sweet! I can't wait to see the costume in action.
Will Bart be using both of those costumes, or just the one with his hair flowing out?
like David: the 'hairy' version.
Yeah, I'm with the crowd. Open on top works. It's just the way Bart is "supposed" to look, at least in my mind.
The Hairy version it is;) It always was but I was messing around;) Maybe when Bart gets older:)
I finally drew him in costume on the cover to 6:)
Best,
Brett

Kevon,
The one with the hair is what we'll be going with. It's what I drew on the 6 cover.
Best,
Brett
